Egg Donor :: FDA Required Screenings

The FDA requires that the following tests be performed within 30 days of oocyte collection:

  1. HIV-1 antibody as well as NAT
  2. HIV-2 antibody
  3. Hepatitis C antibody and NAT
  4. Hepatitis B surface antigen
  5. Hepatitis B core antibody (IgG and IgM)
  6. Serologic test for syphilis
  7. Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Chlamydia trachomatis

In addition to the above screening required by the FDA, tests should also include blood typing and RH factor.
